Kazak
Kazak
Description
The Kazak rugs are an Armenian type of rug knotted in southern Caucasus, between Tiflis and Erevan. The rugs are hand knotted and of the very best quality. The patterns are geometrical and the wool is coloured using natural plant pigments. The rugs are very durable and are stonewashed to get their special, shining look. The Kezak rugs, as well as other Armenian rugs, are traditionally a status symbol, and were originally placed in palaces, churches, and in the homes of the rich.
